~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Elena awoke feeling hazy, her mind in a fog. She stretched her muscles and groaned before throwing off the covers and sitting up in bed. She looked around her room. The sun was streaming through her windows. What time was it? She climbed out of bed and ran a hand through her hair.
A little while later she'd changed out of her PJ's and into a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved red shirt. Her hair was brushed and straightened. She stood in her kitchen waiting for a pot of coffee to finish brewing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: Short and sweet intro. Right now this is just normal, everyday Mystic Falls. Nothing seems amiss. It'll stay like this for a few posts until we get a good little group of characters to work with. Then the genre bending madness will begin. If you have any questions or ideas, reply to the plot thread or shoot me a PM.
"All set," Tyler announced as he came into the kitchen, plunger in one hand and over-sized pipe wrench in the other. He wore a red Mario-style cap backwards and had a heavy tool-belt around his hips that was dragging his pants down enough to show the upper part of his ass. He set his tools down on the kitchen island and headed over to the sink to wash his hands, smiling at Elena as he peeled a banana, breaking off a piece and smooshing it around in his hands, a sudsy foam forming as he scrubbed them together under the running water. "It's about time you woke up," he told her cheerfully, turning off the faucet and wiping his wet hands on the front of her shirt to dry them. "Everyone's been waiting." ((Random enough? It's short too but with this being such a strange thread, I didn't want to force the direction too much ))
"Sup?"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Elena glanced up as Tyler came into the kitchen. Her gaze lingered on the toolbox he'd placed on the table. She vaguely wondered what he'd been fixing. She turned around to lean her back against the counter and smiled.
"Thanks, Tyler." She frowned when he said everyone was waiting for her. Had she forgotten about some kind of party?
"Everyone's waiting for... what?" She knit her brows, straining her memory. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bonnie stalked into the kitchen, threw her shoulder bag on the counter and glared at Elena. "The morning from hell!" she exclaimed, before looking over at Tyler and frowning. "You got yourself a fix-it-dude now, Elena?" She rolled her eyes at Tyler's overall appearance as she pulled open the fridge and drew out a head of lettuce. She set it on the counter and started pulling off bits to chew on. "Where've you been, by the way? It's a big, big day!" she trilled in sing-song as she slid into one of the taller chairs in front of the counter. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ((Thought I'd keep it just random enough so that it could be known that somethin' was up. i.e. lettuce chewing. ))
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Before Tyler answered Bonnie stormed in, making an exclamation about the day from hell. Elena blinked at her.
"What...?" Bonnie eyed Tyler, seeming surprised he was playing repair man. Elena couldn't quite remember what she'd asked him to fix. Had she even asked him to fix anything? Bonnie asked where Elena had been, saying it was a big day.
"I've been here," Elena said. "What's going on?" Was there a party she'd forgotten about? Was the world ending? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
