Bonnie Bennett
---- THE BASICS
Character's Full Name: Bonnie Marie Bennett
Nicknames and Aliases: Just Bonnie. Called “Witchy” by Damon Salvatore, but she doesn't approve.
Age: 18
Species: Witch
Played By: Katerina Graham
Appearance: Bonnie stands at five foot three inches, petite but slim. She has longer dark brown (almost black) hair, generally falling in curls to mid-back, darker skin tone and very expressive almond-shaped green eyes Her smile varies with her mood, but when it is most genuine, it is very contagious as it is wide and warm. Her body type is envied by some, with a pleasant feminine figure that can pull of a lot of tops that some girls just can't. Sometimes she doesn't like how long her arms are, but it's not noticed by many people other than her.
Bonnie's style is very free spirit, down-to-earth, simple. She loves floral tops, very often blousy that still show off the fashion sense she has created over the years. She's never over-the-top with any of her outfits, preferring to still look normal and fashionable. Converse and general flats she loved, jeans she can often be found wearing, and occasionally a skirt or simple dress, depending on her mood.
Personality: Bonnie can be described by those who first meet her as one who acts much older than her true age of 18. She was always like that, from her home life, her dad's constant business attitude, and most-recently her supernatural life. She is a bold persona, strong and sometimes a little too stubborn for her own good. She doesn't often take to trust people, and one has to try very hard to gain her good favor, especially if you're on that supernatural side of things. Very protective of her friends and those she loves, she will let nothing stand in the way of their safety, even if it means sacrificing her own life to save her town and friends. Mostly she is upbeat, sharp-witted and hopeful, but there are times that she can be argumentative, which turns some people off from her. She has formed a would-be family connection with most of the group that surrounds her, thinking of Caroline and Elena has her sisters rather than friends.
Powers and Strengths: Being a Witch, there are many things Bonnie has found she is able to do, especially recently as she learns more about herself.
- Levitation-- What comes most naturally is the levitation spell, as she only has to concentrate to execute it.
- Fire-- The ability to create fire out of thin air is one of the first things she discovered she could do.
- Mental Control-- Mostly inflicting a mental pain on the victim
- Weather control-- When she's particular mad, this happens almost on its own at times.
- Larger Spells-- spells that require audible words, power and great control. Bonnie is getting more and more skilled at these.
- Resurrection-- One of Bonnie's most recent abilities is the one that seems to have caused most problems, resurrection of the dead....She will never use any of her abilities for evil, at least not on purpose.
On the normal side, there are things that Bonnie is able to do without her abilities.
- Crafts-- She enjoys many crafts, mostly decorating and design. She can often be found doodling and sketching.
- Intuition-- She has a sharp wit that keeps her grounded in trying situations.
- Compassion – It comes naturally for her to care for others, even if she has nothing to help them with.
- Bravery-- These last years have honed Bonnie's bravery and strength immensely, even to a sacrificial degree.
Vulnerabilities and Weaknesses:
- Distrust --Most likely one of the worse weaknesses Bonnie has is trusting others. Because she feels the moment she does trust them, they hurt her or leave her, whether by choice or not.
- Doubt – In herself and others. But this causes the opposite of her friend Elena's flaw, control. She chooses to stay out of things that she might be useful in. But eventually this looses to her calling to help others. She is still not the most powerful Witch, though she keeps working on it daily. This can cause trouble, especially when she is asked to do something she cannot manage with her abilities. She hates letting people down, while still hating when people use her just for her abilities.
- Argumentative –She often sticks to her own beliefs, doesn't like listening others. She was even kicked out of debate club in middle school because of it. This flaw makes her never want to back down once she's gotten going, which can lead to trouble for those more impatient enemies...

---- ROLE PLAY SAMPLE
The shreds of paper were floating up towards the ceiling of the bedroom, dancing silently amongst each other, one bit scribbled with “Jer-” the other “emy”, it had been torn to pieces after a few tears had blurred the half-written letter.[/i] necklace that was supposed to be destroyed-- was strewn on the page with the header “resurrection”. She wanted to see if there was anything that could make sense to her. But after reading the same chapter five times, she had given up. Now what?
Bonnie's eyes followed them absently as she was lying on her back, hair sprawled off to one side on her pillow, her cardigan wrapped tight around her small midsection, underneath her tightly folded arms. And when she couldn't breathe because the knot in her throat wanted out, she watched the shreds of white cascading to the floor before sitting up on her bed and heaving a thick sigh.
Matt was right. Give or take, two years ago was so much easier than this. She tried to think, on a normal Saturday afternoon like this she would be skipping around the mall with Caroline and Elena, fawning over every passing boy who was half-cute and laughing as the three tried to find the most ridiculous outfit. Then fast-forward to right here right now, and everyone was just-- scattered. Caroline was not alive, not dead, attempting to scrape together what she had before everything had been ruined. Elena was at home, alone, raising a teenager while still one herself. Stefan wasn't Stefan, Matt was lost in the world too fast for him, and Bonnie? Bonnie was playing out “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” meets “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”. She heaved a sigh and dragged her hair up into a messy bun at the crown of her head, leaning over the dusty old book that she considered her confidant. The necklace-- the
”Gram...” It wasn't unusual for her to talk to her dead grandmother. But for some reason Bonnie felt the hairs on her neck stand on end when she said the simple word. ”I...miss you, that's all. That's all I should say... But -sometimes I wish...you could just come sit with me and...” she gave a thick laugh, ”tell me all the answers.” a tear slipped down her cheek. ”Because I feel a little lost now...”
It happened all at once next. Things that couldn't be explained naturally. The window slammed open, the curtains blew in a strong chilled wind, the necklace flew across the room and the pages of her book began turning. All the way to the end, as Bonnie jolted back away from it in surprise. It flipped onto the back cover, where was written words Bonnie had never seen before.
”Fear not, the new day dawns...”[/blockquote]
