Caroline Forbes
---- THE BASICS
Character's Full Name: Caroline Forbes
Nicknames and Aliases: Care. Sometimes Damon calls her stuff like Blondie or Vampire Barbie.
Age: 18. She's not aging, but no one's noticed yet.
Species: Vampire
Played By: Candice Accola
Appearance: Caroline is five feet and five inches tall. She is petite with a slender build at about one-hundred-and-twenty pounds. She is fair-skinned and tends to burn easily. She has medium-length blond hair that’s naturally wavy, which she always straightens and styles to perfection. She’s a fan of make-up, but she likes to think she’s classy about it. She generally wears a bit of bronzer to give her face a little glow, eyeliner and mascara, a little bit of eye shadow, and lip gloss: subtle and chic. Caroline dresses in the latest fashion. She likes her clothing to be flattering, but not trashy. She’s not against wearing skimpier outfits if she has a good reason for it (manipulation, for instance), but it’s not her typical preference. She loves accessories: jewelry, belts, scarves, etc. She always coordinates her outfits and accessories to be as fashionable and flattering as possible. She’s the type to never leave her house without looking perfect. She has a lapis lazuli ring she wears all the time to protect her from the sun, courtesy of Bonnie Bennett.
Personality: Caroline has grown quite a bit since becoming a vampire. She's become far less self-centered, looking out for the safety of those around her, often putting others before herself. She's also become less judgmental than she once was. Now that she's been judged harshly for being what she is, she's less inclined to take others at face value and takes the time to get to know people and give them the benefit of the doubt. However, she's become less trusting since several attempts on her life have been made by people she never thought would hurt her.
Caroline always tries to keep things positive. She's always the one planning a party in the middle of an apocalypse to keep everyone's spirits up. She just wants everybody to be happy and healthy, so she often tries to be the peacekeeper of the mediator when she feels the need. She offers advice and tries to make people see situations from a few different angles to help them make a more informed decision. This advice is mostly unsolicited, but given with the best intentions. Caroline can be bossy, secretive, and stubborn, and she's a bit high maintenance in some respects. But, she has a good heart and she's highly protective of her loved ones.
Powers and Strengths: Heightened strength and reflexes, accelerated healing, compulsion, a lapis lazuli ring that lets her walk in the sun, good at keeping secrets, good at digging up gossip and information.
Vulnerabilities and Weaknesses: She's vulnerable to sunlight without her ring, must drink blood regularly to survive, she's vulnerable to vervain, she tends to let her feelings cloud her judgment, she doesn't always think before she acts or speaks.

---- ROLE PLAY SAMPLE
Caroline sighed as she sat at one of The Grill’s two-seater tables, a cold cup of coffee sitting in front of her. She didn’t even know why she’d ordered it. She wasn’t in the mood for coffee. But, if she was going to be sitting there by herself, it made sense for her to at least look like she had a reason to be. Other than waiting around for a ride.
She forced herself to take a sip of the cold cappuccino for appearance’s sake. It wasn’t bad cold, which was good. Making a gross face was never attractive. She dapped her upper lip with a napkin in case of foam. Head Cheerleaders didn’t sport foam mustaches in public unless they were drunk. Even then, it was iffy.
Caroline groaned slightly, remembering the hangover she’d woken up with that morning. She barely even remembered the party from the night before. Well, she remembered the first three drinks of it, but after that things got a little hazy. At least she’d woken up safe in her own bed fully clothed. Tiki had texted her to tell her she’d driven her home and she owed her some serious gas money for puking in her front seat.
A few sips of cappuccino later, Caroline flipped open her phone to check for texts. She sighed when there were no new ones and started pressing buttons, calling Tiki. She put the phone to her ear and waited as the ringback tone jingled on the other end. The voicemail clicked over and she rolled her eyes before leaving a message.
“Tiki, it’s Caroline. I’ve been waiting here for an hour. Where are you? Either call me back or get here already, I’m bored.”
She clicked the End button and set her phone down, taking another sip of her cappuccino. Tiki had said she would meet her there an hour ago, and she hadn’t bothered to even send her a text to tell her she wasn’t coming. Typical Tiki. Sometimes she could be so inconsiderate.
Caroline nearly choked on her coffee as it occurred to her that there might have been something wrong. Maybe something had happened to Tiki.
‘No, that’s stupid. Nothing happened to her. She’s fine,’ she thought.
But somehow she couldn’t stop her anxiety from welling up. Her mind wandered and snippets of events drifted out from some corner of her mind. Damon’s face morphing into something else just before he lunged at her. Caroline closed her eyes and shook her head. No. She didn’t want to think about him, and that hadn’t even happened.
Or had it?
She sighed. She didn’t know what to believe anymore. Sometimes she felt like she was totally losing her mind. She stared down at her phone, willing Tiki to call or text before she got too worried.
