The Rules
These are the rules of our lovely community. Please read through these and try your best to follow them. If you have any questions about any of these don't hesitate to ask.~*~
Obey the Proboards Terms of Service.By registering an account here, you agree to follow these. You can find them here.
Be nice. This one's pretty self-explanatory. Be kind to everyone you meet here, including guests.
Submit a character application. Before you can RP here, you have to submit an application for your character and have it approved by the staff.
Canons may have to complete a trial period. This means once your application for a canon character is approved you may also have to complete a trial period so we can see how you do. The length of the trial period is determined by the staff on a case by case basis. If at any point during the trial period we decide you're not a good fit for the canon you've chosen, we will inform you. Please don't be discouraged if this happens to you.
Powerful characters must be played responsibly.Original characters that are too powerful may not be accepted as is. Powerful canons, such as Klaus, will be monitored carefully at all times. Please do not take a powerful canon solely to lord over everyone you meet. That's a little rude. Play nice and you shouldn't have a problem.
Write substantial posts. There is no wordcount requirement here, but please make sure your post gives your RP partner(s) something to work with.
Make sure your posts are legible.Proofread your posts for typos and mis-spellings. Try to make sure your post is as well written as you can make it. If you're using a Proboards Enhanced template, make sure it's viewable on most browsers - including IE!
Live action celebrity faceclaims only.No cartoons, drawings, or pictures of your friends.
We have a relaxed face claim policy. We allow a play-by to represent more than one character on a limited basis. If you're willing to let others share your play-by, say so when you reserve your face. Original characters that are inactive and then reactivated will be allowed to keep their original face claims, even if they're currently in use. Face claims of major canons from the show may not be shared.
Make sure your graphics are the right size.
- Avatars should be no larger than 150x200 pixels. Smaller is okay.
- Signatures should be no larger than 500x300 pixels.
- Posted images should be no wider than 500 pixels.
Host your graphics yourself.Any graphics you post should be hosted by you on an image hosting site, such as Photobucket or Imageshack. Do not link them directly from wherever you found them.
Do not advertise outside the advertising boards. This includes the cbox and unsolicited PMs.
Do not chat in character until your application is approved. That's pretty self-explanatory. If you're on trial, you can chat in character.
No exclusive RP in the chat. You can RP as intensively as you want in the cbox, just remember cbox play does not carry over onto the board and you may not exclude anyone from what you're doing. If you're RP'ing in the cbox, everyone who's approved is allowed to join!~*~
These rules may be changed at any time, and disciplinary action may be taken if violations occur.
